Remove lines
The "Remove Lines" tool allows you to remove unnecessary empty lines in the document, simplifying the formatting and improving readability.
The "Remove Lines" window includes the following elements:
1. Maximum number of consecutive empty lines to keep: This field is essential for specifying how many consecutive empty lines should be kept in the document. If the program detects more empty lines than the value entered, it reduces them to that value. The default value is set to "3," a choice that fits most situations. The field is a SpinBox, so the value can be manually adjusted using the up and down arrows or the mouse.
2. List of criteria for removing lines: These criteria determine how and where the deletion function is applied. They can be activated or deactivated based on specific needs.
The line deletion criteria are as follows:
- Selected document: If activated, only the empty lines in the selected portion of the document are removed.
- Forward direction: If activated, empty lines are removed from the cursor to the end of the document.
If deactivated, empty lines are removed from the cursor to the beginning of the document. This criterion has no effect if the "Selected document" criterion is activated.
