Dictionary Properties

The dictionary properties window is the tool that allows you to view and modify all settings and terms related to the selected dictionary. The window consists of three tabs: General, Terms, and Advanced.

- The General tab displays basic information about the dictionary, such as the name, language, and some options for memory management. From this tab, you can change the dictionary's name, select a new reference language, or set how the dictionary should be loaded into memory.

- The Terms tab provides access to and management of the terms contained in the dictionary. From this tab, you can view the complete list of terms, search for a specific term using a search field, add, delete, or modify existing terms. The search field supports the use of wildcard characters to expand search possibilities. This tab is the most important for customizing the dictionary according to your needs.

- The Advanced tab offers additional information about the dictionary, such as the file path hosting it or the date of the last modification. Additionally, there is a button that allows defragmentation.

The dictionary properties window opens when you select an existing dictionary and click the Properties button. The tab that appears first is the Terms tab since it is the most commonly used by users. To switch between tabs, simply click on their respective labels at the top of the window.
