Open a Hyperlink
A hyperlink inserted into the document becomes active and can be opened to reach the associated resource, whether it is a web page or an email address. In Biblos, a hyperlink can be opened with either the mouse or the keyboard.
Opening with the mouse
To open a hyperlink with the mouse:
1. Place the pointer on the hyperlink text.
2. Hold down the CTRL key.
3. Click the left mouse button.
The hyperlink will be activated and opened in the corresponding program or service (for example, the browser for web addresses, or the email client for email addresses).
Opening with the keyboard
To open a hyperlink from the keyboard:
1. Place the text cursor anywhere inside the hyperlink.
2. Press the key combination CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER. This combination is equivalent to the menu command: Format/Shortcut Commands/Go To/Go to Hyperlink.
Opening warning
When you choose to open a hyperlink, Biblos displays a confirmation window. The window contains a warning message and the address of the hyperlink that is about to be opened.
This warning is a security measure: it allows you to verify that the address is trustworthy before proceeding. It is always good practice to carefully check the displayed address, especially if it comes from documents received from other people.
