Developed by Microsoft, this software installs document conversion filters on the system, which are useful to Biblos for opening and saving Doc and Docx files. It can be installed on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
While this might not be the primary reason for why Biblos was developed, one of my favorite features of Biblos is its support for Epub files. I have found other Epub readers to be clunky and unintuitive but Biblos opens them and makes reading them as easy as reading any other document.
