Biblos 5.98

Update of 09/03/2026

• The Braille and tactile transcription introduces a new feature: automatic conversion of document pictures into tactile format. If the document contains images, these can be converted and printed in relief along with the rest of the content. This way, even graphic elements become immediately accessible in Braille print. In the Graphics tab of the Braille Settings, there is a checkbox that allows this feature to be enabled or disabled. When the option is active, Biblos automatically checks every image in the document. If an image does not already have a tactile representation, the program automatically generates the corresponding tactile chart and inserts it into the print flow. In this way, images are included in the transcription without requiring manual intervention.

• In the Braille Settings, the Default checkbox is now available only when working with eBiblos format documents. This change clarifies the meaning of the option: it allows you to distinguish whether the Braille settings should apply only to the current document or be saved as general default settings.
