The Graphics tab
This tab allows you to configure the printing of tactile graphics present in documents. Settings can be saved in the current document (for eBiblos documents only) or in the active configuration profile, making them valid for all open documents.
- Graphic transcription: Allows you to choose the printing mode for tactile graphics. You can print only the descriptor (the descriptive line of the graphic), only the tactile graphic, or both.
- Automatically generate tactile graphic: If enabled, it automatically creates a tactile graphic when an image lacks one. Generation occurs using black and white conversion filters or edge detection filters, based on the image type.
- Graphic indicator: Allows you to enable and configure the graphic indicator, which is a braille cell positioned on the left or right margin next to the descriptor. The indicator facilitates tactile identification of a graphic's presence on the page.
- Code: Defines the points of the braille cell used as a graphic indicator.
- Graphic descriptor: Contains the mask used to generate the tactile graphic descriptor. This field is essential for the correct braille transcription of graphics.
By pressing the Applications key or right-clicking, you can access a context menu with the list of available variables.
If the field is empty, graphic descriptions will not be printed. To enable printing of descriptions, you must enter at least the `%ALT` variable.
Image descriptions are set in the properties of each image, in the Braille tab, “Description” field.
