The Command Center

The Command Center is a fast and powerful tool that allows access to any function in Biblos without navigating through the main menu. It is essentially a command palette that lets you search for and instantly execute a command.

The Command Center can be opened in several ways, for example:

• By pressing the Ctrl+Q keyboard shortcut;

• By selecting the corresponding item from the Tools menu;

• By clicking the magnifying glass icon located at the bottom right of any main window.

When opened, it appears as a compact, centered window, ready for immediate search.

The Command Center window consists of two main elements:

• Search Field: In this text box, you can type the full or partial name of the desired command. As you type, Biblos automatically displays all commands that match the entered terms, allowing you to locate them quickly.

• Results List: Below the search field appears the list of matching commands. Each entry shows the full name of the command as it appears in the main menu. You can navigate through the list using the arrow keys or the mouse.

To execute a command found in the list, you can:

• Press Enter on the selected item;

• Double-click the desired command with the mouse.

The command will be executed immediately, as if it had been chosen from the main menu.

To close the Command Center window, you can:

• Press the Esc key on the keyboard;

• Click the close icon in the upper-right corner of the window.

The Command Center is especially useful when you don’t remember the exact location of a function in the menus, or when you prefer to work quickly using the keyboard. By typing just a few letters, you can instantly access any command in Biblos.
