Biblos is a Windows utility that prints any document in Braille language. It is a free Braille text editor, very easy to use, as it is a Word processor with which you can write anything. Biblos is available in 5 languages, it also opens DOCX, PDF, EPUB documents and more, and is compatible with many Braille printers.

Until 2013, Biblos was a shareware Software, after which it became completely Freeware and is developed under this type of license. It runs only on Windows operating systems (Windows XP - Windows Vista - Windows 7 - Windows 8 - Windows 10 - Windows 11) and is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Biblos is a free Braille text editor, very easy to use, also because it is a full-fledged Word processor. With Biblos, you can write or translate into Braille language, a tactile writing and reading system designed for the blind. The program also opens DOCX, PDF, EPUB and more files and allows you to print them in Braille as well. Biblos is simple to use, with just a few clicks it translates and prints any document and any text into Braille. It is not essential to have specific skills in Braille system, even a novice can use it. The user interface is extremely easy to understand.

To print in Braille, you need to have a Braille printer, but if you don't need to print in this mode, you can use Biblos as a regular Word processor to write and open any type of electronic document. Biblos is an efficient and essential program for embossed printing, both for occasional use and for those who regularly print in Braille. It is also used by people with dyslexia, thanks to its text-to-speech reader, or by people with other types of disabilities. It is a Software already used by schools and teachers.
